We with Caferacerwebshop have sponsored Sid to support him on his Glemseck adventure. A helping hand from us. We were happy to do so because we love helping Sid and are a big fan of the Glemseck event ourselves. We hope that one day we can be there ourselves! Until then, this blog will give you a little insight into the Glemseck event.
The event site is located on a closed public road, surrounded by the foothills of the Black Forest.

Thank you Sid for sharing your story! You can read about his experience below.
There are various information stands on motorbike travel, safety and events, as well as stands of the major brand manufacturers where everyone can get an idea of the new products. Even test rides are possible! There will also be stands from customisers and parts dealers. Everyone will find something to eat and drink, and maybe some live music? No problem!
There are bikers with their bikes camping on a great meadow, as well as people with camper vans who have also had an area reserved for them.
Everything is well organised, peaceful, cheerful and therefore good-humoured faces are guaranteed at the open-market meeting.

But the focus is still on the caferacers, not least because of the 1/8 mile sprint races that also take place on the grounds on Saturday and Sunday.
There is a grandstand for several hundred spectators who can watch different motorbike classes sprinting against each other. The participants are selected by a jury in the weeks before the meeting, and virtually anyone who fits into a class can apply. The regulations can be seen every year in advance on the Glemseck101 homepage.

After several years as a visitor, this time it was time for me, my application with my BMW was accepted, wow, cool! So with a lot of enthusiasm and anticipation, I started preparing and planning for the event.

Bike: ready, check! Transporter: Check! Sleeping: colleague comes along with the camper, check!!! Pavilion, tools, sleeping bag, toothbrush, deodorant, beer: check! So off we go.

Arrived in GLEMSECK, we moved into our spot and relaxed on Friday. The coming and going is great, many motorcyclists come with their custom bikes and you quickly get into conversation. The atmosphere is always totally casual and unique because of the Leonberg surroundings!

On Sunday, I was allowed to join 15 others in the Classic Racer Sprint class at the starting line of the 1/8 mile sprint race. Being there is everything!

Unfortunately, there was a quick exit for me in the knockout races due to technical problems, this time!
I'll be back! You have to have goals ;-)
