SENA GUIDE

The nice weather has arrived and the first tours with your babe are planned! Offcourse you are going on a vacation with your motorcycle or touring with your friend(s)! Do you already get that 'vacay-feeling'? Riding all the way but then you have to pee, or get gas, hungry, tired or lost..

Your buddy is somewhere riding in front of you and you have to catch up to him or whatever and give signs that you want to stop. Isn't it way easier if you can just communicate while driving on your shinning baby?

Yes it is! So you get the Sena communication set, install it on your helmet, get your buddy one too and while you drive you hit the button on your communication set and say: DID YOU YOU JUST SEE THAT AWESOME MOTORCYCLE?! Or just that you need to pee :)

But which Bluetooth headset do you need? That's were we come in. We will help you to make the right choice. Starting by asking yourself questions what you want and look at what your options are.

These are the most important questions to ask yourself what you want.

-Do you want a communicationsystem only for yourself or also your buddy drivers?

-If you want to connect with other drivers: with how many drivers do you want to connect?

-Do you want to have as far as possible reach with your buddy('s) that you are driving with?

-Do you want it to connect with your phone so you can listen music, connect with your GPS on your phone and make phone calls?

-How long do you want your battery to last?

-Do you want a communicationset that you can speak to while driving so it can search for a destination that you want to go or call someone if you like?

What are your options?

Universal or modelspecific

You can choose between an universal or a modelspecific system. A universal system fits all helmets, so when you buy a new helmet you can put the system easily on your new helmet. A modelspecific system fits better on your helmet and gives more comfort.

If you are planning to purchase a universal set, it is advisable to check whether your helmet has a removable liner. This will make installing a universal headset a lot easier. The wiring can also be better concealed in this way. Sena provides universal systems.

How far do you want your reach to go

The reach from standard communication models are less than the more expensive one. So when you want to ride and communicate with more riders it's better to choose for a communication set that has a wide reach. When you are communicating with biker to biker we advise to choose a reach over the 700 meters. When you want to communicate from rider to group we advise to choose a reach over 1 kilometre.

If you want to drive relax with only your buddy than this might be a good choice for you:
10S Bluetooth® Communication system dual-pack black

or in case you sometimes want to connect with more drivers the SF4-02 Bluetooth-headset Dual

Rather drive alone or with someone at the back?

Connection options

Connections with, for example, your navigation system or your smartphone are possible. However, you will always have to have a separate channel to be able to communicate well with the other motorcyclists. When everything goes through the same channel, it will lead to chaos.

So if you want to use your navigation or your smartphone on the basis of your headset, you need a motorcycle headset with multiple channels. Most brands today are calculated that you need one channel for communication and another channel for things like navigation on your smartphone. Most sets are therefore equipped with two or more channels as standard.

Group riders

If you want the best of all above named options than we can recomment you the 50S Bluetooth headset from Sena! With this ease of connection, massive user capacity, incredible range, AND the addition of the nine-channel feature, the 50S Open Mesh Intercom mode is sure to be a game-changer for those big group/club rides. Also the 30K Bluetooth headset is a great choice, it easily connects with groupriders when they are near and disconnect when out of reach without you get interrupted by it.
