I'd like to sell my café racer, a 1989 BMW R80RT. I'm selling it because I want to take more motorcycle vacations and, unfortunately, I can't afford to buy another one. The motorcycle is in excellent condition, runs well, and has had all the necessary maintenance. I've included some photos. Below is the full description, as it appears on Marktplaats:

Unique BMW R80 Café Racer, built in 1989, fully restored and modified. This bike is a real eye-catcher and rides fantastically. Perfect for the enthusiast of classic motorcycles with a modern twist. It is with a heavy heart that I am selling this motorcycle, as I want to travel more by motorcycle and am therefore switching to a Honda Africa Twin.

Besides the many custom parts, there is a 1000cc big bore kit for that little bit of extra power and a beautiful, roaring sound or, as those around me describe it: "like a fighter jet is approaching!"

- fully concealed turn signals in the handlebars and rear
- custom exhaust system
- steel braided brake cables and perforated discs

I bought the bike last year and only used it for a ride around the church. During this time:

- replaced the crankcase gasket (it was sweating very slightly)
- both front fork seals have been replaced (also in this case, initial sweating phase).
- replaced the choke housing on the left carburetor (the bolts had come loose, and the gasket was also replaced
- clutch push rod bearing greased (moisture had gotten into it and it was running a little less smoothly)
- cardan, transmission, brake and engine oil changed

The Db killer is now available and is included. A drive-in clamp is also available.

The engine is currently nice and warm inside
