This tachometer is suitable for 2-cylinder 4-stroke engines with ≈Ω≈Ωn ignition coil with distributor.

For each pulse from the ignition coil, the tachometer displays ≈Ω≈Ωn rpm. In some cases, the tachometer is also suitable for 1-cylinder 2-stroke, 2-cylinder 2-stroke, 3-cylinder 2-stroke, and 4-cylinder 4-stroke engines.
